Back to business

Wow. It has been forever since I have posted. As you can see, I am now an official rep of Team EVO Tri. Pretty cool. It is fun to be associated with people that have basically the same goals in life as I do. My last post was all about our personal training experience. It was fun. We just finished on Wednesday with our last consult. It was highly successfully. I lost 3 lbs. and 2 inches off my waist and got bigger biceps and bigger legs. That is all good. Janie was really awesome. She lost inches off everywhere and kicked my ass in the process. She is now known throughout the gym as the gal who is tougher than her husband. Cool Huh?
Other news...... We were able to participate in the inaugural Zion canyon centennial 10k. It was so much fun. Janie and I finished it on our goal times. Under 1 hour. And had a blast. We were able to do it with a few friends. It was held on the same day as the Boston Marathon so that was cool. Not alot of other news. I still need to start lodging our workout results. Also, I am going to summarize our tailored workouts that our trainer made for us. They are really cool. And last but not least. The St. George TRI is next Saturday. It is so exciting to be starting off the official season. And yes, 1 year until the Ironman.......... WOOOOOOHOOOOOO

Our big step forward..... Personal Training.......

Quick note to all. Janie and I went to our very cool gym http://www.mysummitathleticclub.com/ and got a personal trainer. We start with her next Tuesday. We have to start keeping a food diary. She said that she is going to kick our asses on the nutrition front. Well I will keep you updated and let you know how it goes. Work calls.

Pictures for the not so faint of heart

I like stupid off the cuff stuff. I hope to publish these sort of things every so often. If you are faint of heart or have no scense of humor turn back now......

Well, it has been a VERY long hiatus. Somethings have changed in our lives. I think all of them for the better. I was recently laid off from my job as a Project Manager. We have downsized our home. And things are very busy with the kids. I now have a job with Intermountain Health Care. It is way cool. I am the newest Safety and Security Officer. Just call me Paul Blart!!! Observe and Report. We also are still doing the Triathlon thing. It is so cool. Our first race of the year is in just over 4 weeks. The St. George TRI. How exciting is that? We just did the Tour de St. George. It was FUN!!!! I loved it. Janie not so much. If I had known that they were so much fun I would have been doing them sooner. And the even bigger news is that we have signed up to run the St. George marathon this coming October and even better we are going to run the inaugural IRONMAN ST. GEORGE. You know; A 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike and if that is not enough a 26.2 mile run after you pry your butt of the bike. I want this blog to be a training log and update tool for everyone that is interested. And those of you that are not you will just have to get interested.

I have returned.

After a long hiatus we are back. From Alaska that is. We left our little spot in the Desert and went North. It was awsome. We spent two weeks with my Brother and his family, my sister and mom and dad. It has been close to 14 years since we have all been together. I will post pics when we get them back. Any way it was so fun. We panned for gold, saw the pipeline, rode on a river boat, went on a for real bush plane ride and went to an airshow and had a real great time.

Week End

It is Friday.... I am at home and Janie is hard at work. This morning we went and had a big workout a week before the next Triathlon. We swam 17 laps in the pool. Janie went on a 3 mile run while I stayed back and lifted some weights. I cant run because I have a strained left groin muscle. We then did a very energetic 19 mile spin class. I can honestly say that I have an addiction. Yes, it is to endorphins. The kids and I went to Wal-Mart and picked up some supplies to fix Morgans bike. She has been out of sorts for a few days because her bike has been out of commision.
